KYDS operates no-cost programs for low-income, at-risk youth and their families at elementary schools, middle schools and high schools within the city of Los Angeles .
KYDS programs provide academic support and literacy which includes: homework assistance, tutoring, English Language Learners programs, language arts and literacy, financial literacy, STEM classes and projects, test preparation, and other skill building activities. Enrichment activities are also provided, including: recreation and sports, physical activity, healthy eating and wellness, dance, drill team, yoga, culinary arts, leadership development, photography, special events, performing arts, special interest clubs, guest speakers, field trips, summer camp and service learning projects.
