Jaguar News

Jaguar News is El Sereno Middle School’s student-led journalism elective, giving students the opportunity to report on the people, events, and activities that make up our school community. Each week, students work together to produce a news broadcast that is aired schoolwide via Zoom on Friday mornings during Advisory.

Established in 2023 and led by Mr. Rodriguez, Jaguar News provides students with hands-on experience in journalism, interviewing, writing, reporting, video production, and on-camera presentation while building communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Jaguar News is a yearlong elective. Students interested in joining the Jaguar News team may apply during the spring for the following school year.
