Course Description
Dev. Read/ Dev. Math is a course aligned with the English and Math Common Core State Standards and intended to provide multi-tiered instructional support. This course will offer supplementary, direct instructional services in content, learning strategies, and progress monitoring in academics. More specifically, instruction will be based on the areas of need specified in the Individualized Education Plan to meet students’ goals. It is not to supplant core instruction in the general education classroom, but to strengthen the understanding of material being taught in the general education curriculum. Our class will consist of both teaching new skills and building upon what the students already know. Class time will be spent on daily mini lessons to teach or reinforce a concept or lesson, as well as independent work time for students to get support on assignments from other classes.7th/Posts
